Teen Challenge of the Dakotas Cleans Up the Community

In an article from the Downtown Brookings Inc. AGENDA,    "A special thank you goes out to the men of Teen Challenge, who have been cleaning trash from downtown every couple weeks throughout the summer. Your work is very much appreciated!"

   Jesus said to his disciples some very direct truths about success in the kingdom of God. “...whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave - just as the son of man did not come to be served, but to serve.” - Matthew 20: 26-28

   At Teen Challenge of the Dakotas we are teaching our students to be givers instead of takers. Our program has always taught men to live life according to God’s ways rather than their own ways. Jesus clearly said to be our best, we must be ready to serve. As part of an ongoing effort to serve our local community, our students have been able to learn what it means to be a blessing rather than a hinderance to society.
